About Internet in Town

Internet in Town answers a simple question for people moving to, or stuck in, a particular town: what internet can I get here, and what do my neighbors use?

We started with Texas: 423 towns of 5,000 people or more and all 254 counties, including rural counties that most comparison sites skip.

How we work

• Public sources only. Provider coverage comes from the FCC National Broadband Map; household figures from the U.S. Census Bureau. Every figure names its source and date. See data sources.
• No invented numbers. We do not estimate prices or speeds for a provider. Where a figure is missing or statistically shaky, the page says so.
• No paid rankings. Providers are ordered by the share of homes they report covering. If we earn a commission from a link, it is labelled and never changes the order. See our advertising disclosure.
• Address first. Coverage is decided house by house, so every page ends with how to confirm service at your exact address.
